About Joshi

Joshi attended St. Xavier's Boys Academy and St. Xavier's College in Bombay, where he was enrolled in undergraduate studies. In 1964, Joshi left for the United States where he continued his education at the University of Akron, in Ohio. This is where he earned his Bachelor's in Science in Economics and his Master's degree in Business Administration.

After finishing his Master's degree, Joshi found that the Indian government had no foreign exchange for the United States dollar and would not allow him to receive any financial assistance from the country. Since he had a background in musical education, Joshi began teaching classes at a local music store, which in turn, lead to his Americanization.

Through this job at the music store, Joshi learned the English language and the ways of American life. Joshi eventually bought the music store in which he taught, as the fast is that Joshi was able to obtain a loan through a connection at the store and with that loan his "businessman's dreams" were born.
